MentorSET is a successful mentoring scheme to help women working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) which has been running since 2002. We provide independent mentors who understand the challenges faced and who can provide support and advice.
We have now created many hundreds of mentoring pairs spread across the UK and encompassing many different STEM careers. Feedback shows that our participants are benefiting enormously and that MentorSET is playing a useful part in helping women in STEM in the UK.
MentorSET is a project of the Women's Engineering Society (WES).
What participants say
“Having the opportunity to discuss work with an outside person and so having an different perspective gives you a new way of looking at problems and work in general, and increases your confidence.”
